Piano Projects

Here is a list of some of the projects currently in the shop. These will be completed this year for delivery to their happy owners.
Piano Rebuild

Streicher 8 foot 2 inch Grand, Vienna, 1848.

This piano came into my life with a detached pinblock and was not tunable. We have replaced the old pinblock with new material and restrun with PureSound Wire. New, historically correct, hammers will be added in the spring of 2009.

Double Manual Harpsichord

This instrument is a replica of a French two manual harpsichord built in approximately 1700. It will have a painted case with golf leaf, bone and ebony keys. This two manual harpsichord will transpose to two different pitch levels.

Broadwood 8 foot Grand ca. 1865.

The Broadwood came to me in pieces, having been restrung by its owner. He did a great job! We have refinished the top and sides and the action awaits work to make it play once again.

English Harpsichord

Contemporary replica of English harpsichord made in the latter part of the 18th century. It came to me in a non playing condition. I have regulated the action and will complete the voicing and work on the jacks this summer.
